Permissions problem with DriveStation FlexNet 1TB


I do not have permission to browse the drive’s contents via network
Solution 1:
Change the button color on the front of the unit from Red (usb mode) to Green (LAN mode)

“Did you change the file system on this drive prior to enabling the LAN function? The LAN function only works using FAT32. If you made the drive into an NTFS or HFS+ volume, then it will not be able to be shared on the LAN.

Also, only the automatically created “SHARE” folder will appear on the network when LAN mode is active. Sub-directory level permissions are not configurable within this share. ” ScottP
