How to disable proxy settings in Firefox and IE


Some companies use proxy servers to limit users from accessing external websites that are not part of their daily routines. If the users have administrative rights to their local machines, they can disable the proxy by following the instructions below

Disabling proxy settings in Firefox:

Open Firefox
Click on Tools/Options and click on the Advanced Tab
Click on the Network tab
In the connections area, click on the settings button
Click on the No proxy button to disable all proxy
You are done!

IE

Click on Tools
Select Internet Options
Click on the Connections tab
Click on the Lan Settings button
Uncheck all the boxes including the Proxy server button
You are done!
