Joining a computer to a SBS domain

How to Configure SBS Client to join the domain

Add the user and computer using the To Do List.
Configure TCP/IP on the workstation. Client for Microsoft Networks, and File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks must be installed and bound to the network adapter. In most cases, you configure TCP/IP to automatically obtain an IP address and DNS server addresses to access the network or DHCP.
Go to the client computer, open Internet Explorer, and type http:// ServerName /connectcomputer (where ServerName is the name of the computer running Windows Small Business Server).
Click Connect to the network now, and follow the instructions in the Small Business Server Network Configuration Wizard to configure networking settings for your client computers:
o Assign users to the client computer.

o Migrate user profiles.

o Choose a computer name for the client computer.

o Join the client computer to the Windows Small Business Server domain.

Note: You must be logged on as a member of the Local Admins security group on the client computer
