Windows 7 64 bit doesn’t identify a 2nd monitor – NVIDIA NVS290 video card

The Windows 7 64 bit native video driver for the NVIDIA Quadro NVS290 doesn’t recognize a 2nd monitor (e.g. NEC Accusync LCD72vx), so you must download and install the Nvidia driver located here

After you download the driver and during the install process, it will automatically detect and identify the correct 2nd monitor and it will make it available to use. As of September 2011 the latest Nvidia NVS 290 driver version was 8.17.12.7589

Note: If you want to make changes to your display settings, right click on your desktop; it will have an extra option for NVIDIA Control Panel. Use that option to personalize your display, instead of the Windows display properties. You will have more options available to you.
